The M 72 is very rare bidirectional (figure of eight) microphone capsule, part of the SMS (Studio Microphone System) 70 series. It can be used with the M 690, MV 691 and MV 692 preamplifier bodies as well as the M 582 equipped with screw mount thread. It was first produced in 1971.
