The VP89 is a modular shotgun microphone with class A preamplifier electronics and excellent RF immunity. It can be used mounted on cameras or on booms and is ideal for live sports, concerts and talk shows. The VP89 is available in three variants: VP89 L, VP89 M and VP89 S with long, medium and short barrel. The Long (L) version with a 30° pickup angle is ideal for long distances such as sporting events, ENG, wildlife and field recording, the Medium (M) version with a 50° pickup angle is meant for wider sources like audience response, talk shows and live concerts while the Short (S) version with a 70° pickup angle is well suited for near-field pickup range, mounted on cameras. All versions feature a low-cut filter as well as a 10 dB and 20 dB attenuation pad. The VP89 has a standard size shoe mount with 1/4 threaded base. Includes protective case, foam windscreen, microphone clip and 5/8″ to 3/8″ thread adapter.
