CMV 563

Common name: Microtech Gefell CMV 563

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The CMV (Kondensator Mikrofon Verstärker) 563 is a further development of the CMV 551 featuring solid construction, insensitivity to mechanical stress and reliable in operation. It is, as in the case of its predecessor a a large diaphragm tube based amplifier body with interchangeable screw-mount M 7 S, M 8 S, M 9 S, M 14 and M 55 K capsules. An included G/B (Bajonett-Gewinde) adapter allows mounting of non ‘S” Neumann bayonet capsules (M 7, M 8, M 9). It was first produced in 1956 until production ceased in 1972. In 1958 the CMV 563s (EC 92) and in 1959 the CMV 564 (EF 94) were produced in small quantities. MH 55 stand mount and TS 55 table mount were available. Weight shown is for amplifier body only, without capsule. Length includes NS 67 connector.
