The VM-5 is a shotgun microphone aimed at upgrading the camera’s internal microphone. It designed for use with DSLR and other video cameras and is equipped with integral rubber shock mounts to minimise handling noise. The microphone is made of ABS to reduce weight while maintaining strength and is powered by a 1.5 v battery. It also features a high-pass filter to reduce rumble, a 10 dB attenuation pad and an on/off switch. The VM-5 comes with a standard hot-shoe mount.
