The GMT-247U is a recreation of the classic U47 based on proprietary designs and a 6S6B-V tube. The GMT-247U is handmade in France with a single backplate 34 millimetres K47 capsule and a 3-micron Mylar, gold sputtered membrane. High quality components used include Vishay resistors and capacitors and a Lundahl 1940 output transformer. The Griffon GMT-247U comes with an elastic shock-mount, wooden box, power supply and Sommer Cable SC-Octave Tube.
