The QM12 Quad is a single-point surround microphone fitted with a quadruple set of triple-diaphragm cartridges. These are set at 90° mutual angles. It is equivalent to four SM3Ls in one body. The individual outputs can be mixed to provide mono omni, cardioid and figure 8 patterns, stereo XY, MS or Blumlein, and Quadraphonic.
