The ECM-680S is an MS stereo or directional mono shotgun microphone that is intended for camcorder or boom pole use. The output is decoded to LR outputs when used in stereo mode but the M channel can be used alone for mono. The switching for this is by a selector switch on the microphone body (with LED) or remotely from compatible cameras. Specifications are for mono use. In stereo mode the frequency response is 50Hz – 20kHz, sensitivity 40mV/Pa. Stereo powering is 2x 4mA.
