Apollo

Common name: Sontronics Apollo

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The Apollo is a stereo ribbon microphone for studio use. It uses a pair of Sigma elements to form a Blumlein X/Y configuration. The mesh basket has an open construction to maximise the acoustic transparency. The impedance conversion is active, as in the Sigma, and powered by P48 so that the output level is relatively high compared to a conventional ribbon.
