The BLM4060 is a boundary layer microphone for situations where clear voice pickup is required. The omnidirectional capsule uses a 5.4 mm vertical diaphragm fitted into a central rubber disc within a stainless steel base. On a large flat surface this will produce the classic hemisherical response with a 6 dB gain for direct sound and a 3 dB gain for diffuse. There is a soft boost of 7 dB @8 kHz.
