The ATM450 is a side-address small-diaphragm design intended to solve many microphone placement problems, particularly with acoustic instruments. The capsule is a fixed backplate electret design. The design has an extended frequency response and very high SPL capability. The body is all-metal to provide a rugged microphone for heavy stage use.
