The UM 930 Twin is a large diaphragm side-addressed multi pattern transformer-less condenser microphone. It uses a two shock-mounted capsules with gold sputtered PE double diaphragms. One of the capsule is fixed in cardioid mode while the other can be independently switched between omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, super-cardioid and figure of eight. The 5-pin XLR output connector allows the two capsules output to be used or recorded simultaneously. When the pattern selector is placed midway in-between any of the polar symbols for longer than five seconds the Soundcheck Tool is activated illuminating the green LED placed behind the grille and a test signal with an equivalent sound level of 74 dB is sent to the output in order to assist in basic microphone setup during soundcheck. The polar pattern switching is accomplished with maintenance-free reed relays. The microphone output signal is automatically muted while switching between polar patterns. The black O-rings just above the pattern switching ring can be swapped for green, red and blue rings to help identify microphones. The UM 930 is a universal microphone, ideal for vocals, speech, acoustic guitars, piano, percussion, wind and string instruments. Includes MH 80 microphone holder and wooden case.
