The Amethyst Vintage is a similar to the Standard but uses a dual-diaphragm capsule. It has a slightly wider cardioid response and twin 25 mm 6-micron gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragms. The grille is a multi-layer brass mesh type and the electronics are transformer-less discrete Class A.
