The R44CE is the aesthetically cost effective version of the R44C. The microphones are exactly the same on the inside and have the same sound. The R44CE has a chromed yoke and satin aluminium grille. Also available with the X-Motor version which is a “hot rod” mod featuring a modified R44 transducer that includes two additional magnets with an extra 6dB of output. The X-Motor version has a Red badge on the outside of the microphone body instead of a Black badge as in the standard version.
