The KR-25A is a double membrane 1-inch condenser design with a fixed cardioid pattern. The diaphragm is 6-micron Mylar. The capsule is positioned for side address and has a spring web suspension to give excellent shock-mounting. It is intended for all kinds of instrumental recordings and even vocal use, where the engineer may take advantage of the soft proximity effect within 6″ of the microphone.
