The ASTATIC 947 is a low noise, electret condenser cardioid mini goose-neck microphone with a threaded mounting adapter. The 947 will mount directly to any desk or floor stand that has a standard 5/8×27 thread or to the included threaded flange.It has a wide, flat frequency response which provides natural, transparent sound quality, and warm sound when used close to the sound source. The cardioid pickup pattern minimises annoying feedback when used close to sound reinforcement speakers and monitors, while reducing the pickup of unwanted off axis sounds. The 947 variants differ only in overall length. The approximate overall length of the 947-9 is 9 inches, the 947-14 is 14 inches and for the 947-19 it is 19 inches. The 947 includes a Model PM-9000 power module that houses the electronics and features a low noise transformer-less design for optimum frequency response. The power module also includes a switchable 12dB per octave high pass filter. The 947 will operates with standard 9-52 volt phantom power. The PM-9000 can be mounted near the 947 with the included mounting screws or double-sided foam tape. The microphone is attached to this with a 10 foot cable terminated with a mini XLR connector.
