Common name: Shure 41A

The 41A is a power supply unit designed for the Shure model 40 condenser microphone. It can also be used for other microphones whose current requirements correspond with the 41A specifications. It delivers 6 volts A.C. for heaters and 200 volts D.C. for tube plates and capsule polarisation. The unit is equipped with a specially selected type 80 rectifier tube, six-foot A.C. cord and plug, primary on/off switch and plug for attachment to microphone cable. Three binding posts afford convenient access to the audio output circuits and ground, and simplify connections between microphone output and the main amplifying equipment. The top cover is perforated for heath dissipation and chromium-plated. The base is finished in double-baked rubber-black japan.
