The 70E is a crystal microphone with the head mounted on a desk stand and a separate 70A remote preamplifier. The element features a curvilinear diaphragm and Bimorph crystal cantilever actuated and is triple moisture sealed. The preamplifier is based around two type 76 (CV615) general purpose amplifier triodes.
