The Model 508A “Stratoliner” is a pressure dynamic microphone with wide range response and semi-directional pickup response for high quality reproduction of sound. The case is attractively streamlined for improved acoustical performance and modern appearance. Extreme ruggedness and immunity to severe temperature and humidity conditions are inherent in the design. It is ideal for public address, recording, call systems, communications radio telephone equipment, and similar applications. The microphone is provided with built-in receptacle and 7-foot shielded rubber- jacketed cable with microphone plug attached. Its wide response is ideal for excellent reproduction of voice or music. The 508A is semi-directional when placed horizontally while it becomes non-directional when used vertically. The swivel allows tilting the microphone up to 90º. The A variant has 35/50 Ohm output impedance, the 508B 200/250 Ohm while the 508C has high impedance.
