The B5201LB is a cello and viola microphone for extremely loud live performances such as folk-rock, pop, rock and metal. It provides a very high gain before feedback and extreme suppression of close sound sources and ambient noise. The microphone captures the natural sound of the instrument as it is positioned under the fingerboard. The microphone has a built-in windshield, which is designed to drastically reduce wind noise in open air performances. The windshield is placed inside the microphone and is therefore invisible and non-removable.
