Developed by Bell Telephone Laboratories and manufactured initially by Western Electric and later by Altec Lansing, the 639B is a dual-element multi-pattern microphone. It employs moving-coil and velocity ribbon elements in the same die-cast aluminium housing to provide six selectable polar patterns. The housing also features a built-in two-layer windscreen. It is ideal for motion picture and television sound stages, radio broadcasting and recording studios. Include zippered plastic bag.
