The 6066 CORE is an omnidirectional subminiature headset condenser microphone. The capsule of the 6066 CORE sub-miniature headset is just 3 mm (0.12 in) in diameter. The 6066 features a new lightweight one-size-fits-all headset that fits securely and comfortably over the ears, a comfortable 3-point gripping system above, below and behind the ear, a 2-way adjustable, non-reflective boom with locking system and a new 90° cable management constructed to guide the cable and minimise cable breaks. The boom is 130 mm long but can easily be adjusted so that it sits perfectly at the corner of the performer’s smile. Not only can the boom be extended or shortened, it can be pivoted up and down at a fixed point below the ear. An anti-rotating mechanism designed into the boom shape prevents it from rotating. A sliding lock system ensures that the boom is locked into the desired position. The entire boom can be detached at a point below the ear and moved from the right to left side of the frame. The entire microphone is made of stainless steel and is PVD coated, as is the grid that covers the capsule element. Like all CORE series microphones the 6066 is IP58 certified thanks to a water-repellent nano-coating of the cover and housing and the hermetic sealing of the amplifier. It can be used wireless with Microdot, Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, Sony, Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic, Adam Hall, Lectrosonics, Line 6, Mipro, Ramsa, Rode, Samson, TOA, Trantec, Wisycom and Zaxcom transmitters or wired with a standard XLR termination. It is available in black, brown or beige colour.
