The M82 is a large diaphragm side-addressed dynamic cardioid microphone with two independent on-board equalisation switches: Kick Eq and High Boost. The Kick Eq reduces lower mid-range frequencies around 350 Hz in order to reduce boxiness while the High Boost setting from 2 kHz to 10 kHz picks up more beater attack when recording bass drums. It is also useful when recording guitars or vocals. It is ideal for kick drum, voiceover, speech, percussion, guitar and bass amplifiers, organ and brass instruments both in recording as well as live sound reinforcement applications. Includes the M 782 stand mount adapter, an SGMC-5R 5 metre XLR cable and protective zipper case. An optional elastic suspension is also available.
