The CS-1 is a multi-pattern large diaphragm vacuum tube microphone. It features a custom Haun dual diaphragm capsule feeding an amplifier based around a Lucas LMG-95-ES (Mullard Blackburn) vacuum tube and an Oliver Archut custom designed transformer. The CS-1 has eleven switchable polar patterns from omnidirectional to figure of eight via the power supply unit. This has a fail-safe design to avoid damage to the vacuum tube or the transformer in case of accidental cable disconnection. The microphone is finished in patented Lucazite paint for maximum RF rejection. It is also scratch proof and dent proof. All the components are internally shock-mounted. Includes power supply, wooden case, microphone cable with custom Jeff Roberts (Latch Lake) swivel mount and flight case.
