The GA-251 MKII is a large dual diaphragm vacuum tube condenser microphone switchable between omnidirectional and cardioid polar patterns. The amplifier is based around a NOS Philips 5840W pentode vacuum tube wired as a triode. It is equipped with a 10:1 AMI dual bobbin transformer, Solen capacitors and MKP film capacitors, NOS Siemens antique grade polystyrene capacitors for the capsule, ELNA OFC Cerafine capacitors for the tube cathode bypass and Dale 1% metal film resistors. This new version features a newly designed brass back plate, improved grille design, new Rogers circuit board with point-to-point wiring. The power supply provide low noise and minimum stray field with dual-stage filtering for the filament voltage. Includes power supply, microphone cable, padded wooden microphone box and metal flight case.
