Common name: Electro-Voice RE45N/D

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The RE45N/D is a Cardiline dynamic shotgun microphone. It combines a cardioid polar pattern with distributed front openings to provide very high directivity. The microphone is equipped with a high sensitivity Neodymium magnet providing low noise and high output and the exclusive non-metallic ElectroVoice Acoustalloy diaphragm providing a smooth frequency response while being insensitive to high humidity, extreme temperatures and corrosion resistant. The transducer incorporates a 20 Hz high pass filter to reduce wind and low frequency noise during handheld operation. The RE45N/D exhibit very smooth off-axis frequency response. It also features a “Warm-Grip” handle designed to fit over the microphone connector and the short handle of the microphone. The included windscreen attaches to the microphone with a self-adhesive ring for extra isolation. Also included is the model 323 stand clamp for fixed installations such as podiums. It is finished in non-reflecting black.
