The DL42 is a Cardiline dynamic unidirectional shotgun microphone. It combines an hyper-cardioid polar pattern with a distributed front opening design. It is equipped with a new shock-mount design that greatly reduce mechanical vibration while the tailored low frequency response reduces wind noise and allows accurate reproduction of sound sources. In order to achieve maximum isolation the provided coil cord from the microphone to the shock-mount should be used. The DL42 can be used on a boom, fish-pole or handheld. A screw-in handle for handheld use in included. The microphone is equipped with a non-metallic Acoustalloy diaphragm with a magnetic shield to protect it against dust and iron particles. This diaphragm provides smooth frequency response while being immune to high humidity, temperature swings and corrosion. The microphone is made of aluminium and steel. It is finished in nonreflecting fawn beige. Includes carrying case, windscreen, coil cord extending from microphone connector to shock-mount bail, and shock-mount.
