The M80 is a dynamic microphone for handheld vocal use or for instruments. It has a robust chrome basket and a rubberised body shell. The diaphragm is thin Mylar and has a low mass voice coil with a step-up transformer for the output. The similar (grey) M81 has an HF response that is tamed a little for applications that do not want such a bright style.
