U195

Common name: Soundelux U195

Production Status: In production

The U195 is a large diaphragm cardioid FET microphone. It is ideal for a wide range of music recording, broadcasting, and post applications from voice-over and ADR to drums, percussion instruments, and acoustic guitar. The microphone is equipped with a “Fat/Norm” switch. The “Norm” position provides an extended flat response with slightly elevated high end typical of FET condensers, while the “Fat” setting creates a low end boost between 10 Hz and 400 Hz reminiscent of old tube classic condenser microphones. The U195 is also equipped with a 10 dB pad and 20 Hz (-10 dB) low-cut filter. The U195 is equipped with an oversized output transformer.
