CMS-9

Common name: Sanken CMS-9

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The Sanken CMS-9 is a lightweight MS stereo condenser microphone ideal for all studio and field recording applications. Its unique design features an internal “Mid-Side” sum and difference processing circuit which, by eliminating the need for an external matrix box, makes the mic extremely mobile and easy to handle. It outputs L-R stereo signals, connects directly to a field recorder, and mounts to any standard 19 mm diameter hand-grip. It features the same two capsules as in the CM-7s, one with a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern, and the other coincidentally mounted with a figure-of-eight pattern. Includes SC-532 1.8 cable and urethane wind screen.
