Aztec

Common name: Roswell Pro Audio Aztec

Production Status: In production

The Aztec is a multi-pattern tube microphone. It uses an edge-terminated K251 style capsule and a European made T14 type coupling transformer. Nine different polar patterns are available via a Swiss-made rotary control located on the power supply unit. The Aztec uses NOS Tantalum capacitors, NOS military-spec input capacitor and a copper-foil output capacitor made specifically for this microphone. The electrolytic capacitors used in the filtered power supply are custom manufactured for Roswell. The Aztec also features an attenuation pad and a switchable hi-pass filter to reduce proximity effect when the microphone is placed at very close distance from the source. Includes flight case, power supply, shockmount, Gotham/Neutrik XLR7 cable, and AudioQuest IEC power cord.
