The CS-4 is a multi-pattern large diaphragm vacuum tube microphone inspired by the Neumann U47. It features a custom Siegfried Thiersch M7 capsule with a 6 micron aged PVC diaphragm, a Jeff Roberts handmade solid brass grille, a NOS Telefunken Glass tube and a custom AMI/TAB transformer. The microphone is finished in patented Lucazite paint for maximum RF rejection. It is also scratch proof and dent proof. The CS-4 has eleven switchable polar patterns from omnidirectional to figure of eight via the power supply unit, including a “true cardioid” setting where the back diaphragm is disconnected. Includes power supply, wooden case, microphone cable with custom Jeff Roberts (Latch Lake) swivel mount and flight case.
