C 414 B-TLII

Common name: AKG C 414 B-TL II

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The C 414 B-TL II is a multi-pattern FET transformer-less condenser microphone. The TL II differs from the C 414 B-ULS in two respects. It provides a similar sound as the C 12 with the same frequency response above 4 kHz as that of the classic C 12 with a slight high-frequency boost. Below 4 kHz, however, the C 414 B-TL II has a flat response. The second difference is that the C 414 B-TL II has a transformer-less output stage for accurate reproduction down to the lowest frequencies. It is ideal for vocals and distant pickup such as in classical music recording applications. It provides the same pre-attenuation pads and bass cut filters as the C414 B-ULS. Includes a windscreen, spider-type suspension, and individual frequency response chart.
